MSO Kicks Off Season On October 11

The Mobile Symphony Orchestra (MSO) opens its 2025-2026 season with “Metamorphosis,” a concert of classical favorites selected by the musicians themselves, on October 11 at 7:30 p.m. and October 12 at 2:30 p.m. at Saenger Theatre Mobile. It opens with Carl Maria von Weber’s “Overture” to the opera Der Freischütz. “Then, Paul Hindemith takes themes by Weber and transforms them into something bold and brilliant in his Symphonic Metamorphosis,” MSO Music Director Scott Speck said. The program concludes with the triumphant Symphony No. 1 by Johannes Brahms. Tickets start at $20 and $10 for students.
