Local Counselors Honored

The Alabama School Counselor Association Awarded 11 Baldwin County Public Schools with Gold Recognition of Accountability, Verification and Excellence (RAVE) and Program of Distinction awards, the system announced in a Facebook post. It added that Baldwin County counselors have received the most Gold RAVE awards since 2004. Additionally, the Mobile County Public School System announced that nine of its counselors, representing seven of its schools, also won RAVE Gold Awards. Three received the Alabama School Counseling Program of Distinction honor, which recognizes counselors who demonstrate an exemplary level of implementation of a comprehensive, data-driven program. The winning schools are now eligible for the Recognized ASCA Model Program, the highest national recognition for school counseling.
