Mobile, Gulf Shores Get New Fire Chiefs

The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department (MFRD) promoted Jeremy Lami, former MFRD chief of staff, following former Chief Paul Mark Sealy’s recent retirement, AL.com reported. Having worked for Mobile for 29 years, serving as chief for three, Sealy is now replacing recently retired Fire Chief Hartley Brokenshaw in Gulf Shores. According to Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson, Lami’s qualifications include 18 years of experience, accreditation as a graduate of the National Fire Academy and being a member of the team that had helped Sealy win industry rating ISO 1 during his time as chief. Stimpson added that Deputy Chief Johnny Morris, Jr. would fill the vacated chief of staff position.
