Alabama Shipyard Wins $13-Million Availability Contract

The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Alabama Shipyard, LLC of Mobile a firm-fixed-price contract for a 72-day shipyard availability valued at just over $13 million. The work to be performed provides for services for the midterm availability of the fleet oiler USNS Patuxent (T-AO 201). U.S. Navy fiscal 2021 working capital contract funds are obligated to Alabama Shipyard and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via SAM.gov with six proposals received. The work is expected to be completed by December 4.
