Master Boat Builders Appearing On Dirty Jobs

Master Boat Builders, Inc., in Coden, will be featured on Discovery’s Dirty Jobs on January 16 at 7 p.m. Host Mike Rowe will show viewers how the company builds workboats that protect local waterways and ensure cargo moves through them efficiently. “Specifically, the show will highlight tugboats and the important role they play in moving goods in and out of the port,” Business Alabama reported. Master Boat Builders, founded in 1979, has grown to build boats for customers all over the world. The company produces them from concMaeptual design to the finished product. Most recently, it has been working on the first U.S. all-electric ship-assist tugboat and two 85-ft-long tugboats for Bay Houston Towing Co. of Houston (BBN #50 and 61).
