West Mobile Publix Sets New Grand Opening Date

MOBILE, Ala. — The new West Mobile Publix supermarket at the corner of McFarland Road and Cottage Hill roads has rescheduled its grand opening date for September 21, Lagniappe reported. The store was expected to open mid-June, and the cause of the delay was not provided. According to Mobile County property records, the new supermarket will be housed inside a 46,000-ft2 building and will offer a drive-thru pharmacy, curbside pickup and grocery delivery, in addition to in-store shopping. The store will be part of a shopping center called Bickley Station and will be the 12th Publix in Mobile and Baldwin counties. The company currently has 82 locations in Alabama, with a distribution center in McCalla.
