Forging A Difference Fundraiser Coming To USS Alabama

The Blacksmith Experience will be hosting the third-annual Knife Making Competition on the USS ALABAMA on December 9 at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The family-friendly event features former contestants from the History Channel series Forged in Fire. Knives will be made of steel from the USS TEXAS and wood from the USS ALABAMA. There is a $5 suggested admission to enter that also registers event participants to win one of the knives being made that day. Attendees do not need to be present to win. This is a fundraiser for Daphne-based nonprofit Forging a Difference, which uses blacksmithing and knifemaking to serve veterans, active-duty military, law enforcement and first responders create community and address mental health needs.
