Baldwin Preparatory Academy Funding Announced

The Baldwin County Commission has adopted a resolution to allocate funding to the Baldwin County Public Schools in the amount of $5,000,000, with $1,000,000 to be distributed annually for fiscal years 2024-2028. The funding is dedicated as a contribution for the construction costs of the Baldwin Preparatory Academy, the career technology school scheduled to open in August 2024 at 33243 State Highway 59 in Loxley. Construction on the $100-million school is on schedule and expected to be completed in time for the next school year. Meant to bridge the gap between high school and college or the workforce, it is currently only accepting children from within Baldwin County, but it is planned to eventually have enough space to accept interested students from surrounding counties.
