Breeze Airways To Leave Mobile

The Mobile Airport Authority (MAA) has announced that Breeze Airways will suspend its service at Mobile International Airport at the end of this month. Calling the decision mutual, the “change will allow both parties to focus on their evolving priorities and the development of the airport’s new terminal, bringing us closer to its planned 2026 opening,” the authority said. It added that Breeze expressed interest in returning to Mobile once the new terminal is complete. Meanwhile, MAA is to accelerate key aspects of the terminal project. “We are optimistic about the future and the opportunities this transition will create,” said Andy Wilson, MAA executive director. “As we continue to make progress with the terminal project, we remain committed to fostering new airline partnerships and expanding travel options for Mobile and Baldwin counties.”
