 According to AL.com, a local investor paid $351,000 for 8,000 ft2 of space at 3655 Marion Beckham Drive in Mobile, according to Chris Harle of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the seller. John Vallas of Vallas Realty worked for the buyer, who plans to turn the property into a daycare center. Spanish Fort Express YMCA has opened in Blakeley Square Shopping Center at 6729 Spanish Fort Boulevard, next to Rouses. The new branch offers a fitness center, fitness classes and YMCA child watch. AutoZone has leased 9,682 ft2 at 5827 Highway 90 in Theodore and plans to open in the next few months, according to Crawford Stitt of White-Spunner Realty. Orange Beach plans to build a recycling center on part of 18 acres the city owns on Russian Road, just east of the intersection of Russian and Roscoe roads. Shaver Investments and PJV Holdings is seeking site plan approval to construct a six-unit office and retail building at 25299 Canal Road in Orange Beach, according to city planning. The property is between Canal Plaza and Bayside Estates in the general business zoning district. A new Jiffy Lube is planned for construction at 21797 Miflin Road in Foley near the Foley Beach Express. A 4,000-ft2 Fortis office building is in the works for Northshore Circle in Gulf Shores.
