Prichard Breaks Ground On Single-Family Affordable Homes
The Prichard Housing Authority recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for new single-family affordable homes, FOX10 News reported. Due to its Infill Homes Program, which was created to help maintain neighborhoods with affordable homes, four new single-family homes are being built on Moreland Drive. The city teamed with the Prichard Housing Authority, Mobile County Commission and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for this $600,000 investment. Those funds are coming from the federal Community Development Block Grant Program. The homes are expected to be complete by fall and will be sold to eligible first-time homebuyers who meet certain income and credit requirements.
