Art In The Park Coming Up

The 54th Annual Art in the Park will take place on May 9 and 10 at Heritage Park in Downtown Foley. The festival will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on May 9 and from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on May 10. Sponsored by the Foley Art Center, this juried fine arts show features the work of more than 80 skilled artists. Visitors can find unique creations crafted in various mediums such as intricate pen-and-ink drawings, oil paintings, watercolors, handcrafted pottery, stained glass, carved wood, porcelain, colorful fused glass, soft textiles and jewelry. There will be hands-on activities and face painting for children in an expanded dedicated children’s area. Additionally, a local youth section will represent work from local middle and high school students. The festival artwork for the next year is chosen from this exhibit.
