Langan Park Upgrade Project More Than Halfway Complete
An ongoing project to upgrade Mobile’s Langan Park is more than halfway complete, WKRG News 5 reports. The City of Mobile began work at Langan Park on Zeigler Boulevard in November 2025. The first phase of dredging is finished. The project is nearing the end of phase two: dredging the lower lake, a major step in improving water quality. The 18-month project is meant to make the park more environmentally- and family-friendly. When the dredging is finished, there is a plan to have a boathouse for kayaks and canoes. Langan Lake is part of the city’s drainage program; it drains Three Mile Creek. The project is expected to be finished in May 2027.
