Premium Plate To Build $20-Million Axis Facility

Premium Plate, a TF Warren Co., is investing more than $20 million in a new facility and equipment at 217 Salco Road in Axis to expand its steel processing capabilities and establish a permanent operation. Premium Plate is a supplier of mill-certified plate and structural steel products in a variety of grades, serving customers across industries including construction, oil and gas, power generation, pressure vessels, marine, transportation and tank manufacturing. The company has previously operated from leased facilities in Mobile County, including a location along Highway 43 and its current operation in Chickasaw. The new Axis facility represents a significant long-term investment in a purpose-built operation designed to support the company’s continued growth. The project is expected to create 12 new jobs over the next two years. The facility is expected to open in January 2027.
