ACAC Expands With Satellite Location

The Alabama Contemporary Art Center (ACAC) has announced the AC Satellite, a new arts and culture venue at 561 Saint Francis Street in Mobile. This former warehouse will house ACAC’s Artist in Residence program, pop-up events and community-centered arts education while ACAC’s flagship space at 301 Conti Street in Mobile undergoes a major redevelopment. The 2,500-ft² AC Satellite is to get further renovations for it to be the permanent home for the Artist in Residence program specifically and, ACAC says, “a vital resource for the local creative community through programming, paid opportunities for artists and arts education.”
