Boyington Oak Festival Returns Next Month

MOBILE, Ala. — The Historic Mobile Preservation Society is holding the 2nd Annual Boyington Oak festival on May 14-15 at the Historic Oakleigh House Museum in Mobile. The Boyington Oak Society will also perform the fourth production of its annual three-act play, The Truth Is in the Tree.  Written by Mary S. Palmer, president of the Boyington Oak Society, it follows Remembrances: Charles R.S. Boyington, a play also written by Palmer. Both are based on Palmer’s book, Boyington Oak: A Grave Injustice. The festival includes the play, a Gulf Coast trolley tour, a tour of Oakleigh, an autographed book, drinks and food. Packages start at $50.
