Children’s Book Biographs Artist Trione

A new children’s book about Fairhope artist Ricky Trione, Art from the Heart: The Ricky Trione Story, is now available, FOX10 reports. Trione’s inspiring story, written by Karyn W. Tunks and illustrated by Nidhom with art by Trione, is a picture-book biography of the Christian artist, who has been blind since accidents in 1993 and 2000. He now works in a 3D style that includes thick texture paints and molding compounds that allow him to feel his way across the canvas. Tunks is a faculty member of the University of South Alabama and previously published Jubilee!, a children’s book set in Mobile Bay. Art From the Heart is intended for children from 3-8 years old (pre-K to third grade).
