Classical Ballet Of Mobile Adds Experienced Teacher

Classical Ballet of Mobile has announced that Oksana Kozhanova, former principal dancer with Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, will join its faculty in the fall. Kozhanova’s ballet career began in the famous Vaganova Ballet Academy, where she received her MFA master’s of ballet artist with honors. She is a master of stage, professional ballet teacher and choreographer. She toured throughout the world as a soloist and principal dancer with Moscow Ballet Co., Festival Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet and International Ballet Co. Kozhanova danced principal roles in many ballets, including The Nutcracker, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, La Fille Mal Gardée, Don Quixote, Paquita, Flame of Paris, Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Cinderella and The Blue Bird. She will be teaching Classical Ballet of Mobile Academy students of various levels but focusing on the primary curriculum in the highly structured Vaganova syllabus to provide classical training from pre-primary to pre-professional levels.
