Concert/Lecture On Lecouna, Martí Coming Up

Roses of Cuba: Martí and Lecuona on Two Eras of the “Rosa Blanca” will pay tribute to renowned Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona and national poet José Martí at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center at the University of South Alabama at 7:30 p.m. on February 9. Doors will open at approximately 7 p.m. Led by University of Alabama professors Sarah Moody, Susan Williams and Kevin Chance, this half-lecture, half-recital performance will explore both artists through music and storytelling.
