Details On MSO’s Next Season

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Symphony Orchestra (MSO) has announced seven concerts for its 25th-anniversary season, beginning this fall. The season opens on September 24-25 with Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade featuring MSO concertmaster Jenny Grégoire. The orchestra’s annual casual concert, Beethoven and Blue Jeans, highlights violinist Tessa Lark on November 19-20. The annual holiday concert will be A Cinematic Christmas featuring holiday favorites from popular movies on December 10-11.

On January 21-22, 2023, MSO will present Symphonic Innovations, along with the Munich Philharmonic and Chicago Philharmonic orchestras. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo & Juliet” and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 2” with Joyce Yang will be featured in Musical Romance on March 11-12, 2023. Alabama native Norman Huynh will join MSO on April 15-16, 2023, to conduct Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 4. The season ends on May 6-7, 2023, with Lords of the Ring. All concerts in the series are performed twice: Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. at the Saenger Theatre Mobile. Six-concert season memberships (excluding the holiday concert) are now on sale for $102-$408. Tickets to all individual performances, including the holiday concert, will go on sale on August 8 for $20-$89.
