Details Released On Buffett Exhibition

The City of Mobile recently showed a glimpse of a new Jimmy Buffett exhibition, AL.com reported. “Son of a Son of a Sailor: The Jimmy Buffett Experience” is to open in September 2026 at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf with 6,000 ft2 of space dedicated to Buffett’s legacy. According to Karen Poth, the museum’s director, and others, that space will be filled not just with artifacts from Buffett’s career, but also with concert footage that fans might not be able to see anywhere else. “So far we have more than 130 artifacts collected,” Poth said. “Really great things. Family photos, handwritten lyrics, we have several guitars, we have a statue from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame…. We also are partnering with his longtime videographer. So there’ll be a lot of never-before-seen footage, a lot of never-even-edited-together footage will be part of this exhibit, and also interviews and phone audio and things that people have never heard.”
