Gulfquest Extends Bob Hope Exhibit

MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile’s GulfQuest has announced the extension of its popular exhibit, “So Ready for Laughter: The Legacy of Bob Hope.” Produced by The National WWII Museum in New Orleans and supported by the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation, the exhibit tells the story of Hope in World War II (WWII) history and beyond. Using multimedia elements including artifacts, films, rare photographs and an interactive display to tell the story, it will be on display through April 16 on Deck 1 of GulfQuest. “Our friends at the WWII Museum generously allowed an extension of the exhibit,” Museum Director Dr. Mary Elizabeth Harper explained. “It clearly resonates more with people who lived through or whose parents lived through WWII or [the Korean War], but comedy and music are timeless, and in times such as now, we are once again oh-so-ready for laughter.”
