History Museum Reports Record Attendance

The History Museum of Mobile has had a breakthrough year, specifically in the number of visitors, museum Director Meg Fowler said. According to Call News, Fowler reported 45,205 visitors this year, a 45% increase from last year. She contributes the growth to a variety of exhibitions and many volunteer hours (863) devoted to the museum that saw thousands of children visit and more than 30 other programs take place. “All of this doesn’t happen without the support of the city council,” she added. Behind the scenes, there are workers who are protecting, preserving, collecting and handling more than 17,000 objects. This is a physical depository of our city’s history.
