Knight To Speak On MMofA Exhibit

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) will host Alabama State Council on the Arts Executive Director Dr. Elliot Knight for a discussion about the “Contemporary Alabama” exhibition at MMofA on August 24. Launched in June, the exhibit celebrates all kinds of visual artists from across the state. It is intended as a small window into the world of the visual arts in Alabama and features artists who were either born or lived in the state. The collection includes paintings, drawings, sculptures, glass, ceramics, jewelry and furniture. These works span from the 1950s to today. Support for the exhibit is provided by the council, City of Mobile and National Endowment for the Arts.
