Live Music Planned For Saenger

AL.com reports The Allman Betts Band plans to take the stage at the Mobile Saenger Theatre on February 4, becoming the first popular-music act to play there since the pandemic began. Approximately 600 tickets (a third of the theater’s capacity) are being sold. Saenger booker Chris Penton said the theater’s behind-the-scenes pandemic activity so far has helped draw upcoming shows. Socially distanced movie series and symphony concerts, plus a successful comedy show in December 2020, have kept its business going, Penton added. Following The Allman Betts Band will be a Jamey Johnson & Randy Houser tour stop at the Saenger on February 19-20.
