MAC Announces Members’ Show Winners

The Mobile Arts Council (MAC) has announced the winners of its 2026 Annual Members’ Show, celebrating talent and creativity of more than 80 local artists. Awards were presented during LoDa ArtWalk on August 14. Among the evening’s honors was the Dempsey & Litchfield Award, presented annually to an artist whose work best represents Mobile. The 2026 recipient is Gwenn Ainsworth for her photograph, “Last Harbor,” featuring the SS UNITED STATES. The Members’ Choice Award was presented to Patrick Hurley for “Revolve: Rise and Fall.” Elsa Payton was awarded best in show (first place) for “The Keeper.” Frank Vogtner won second place for “I Am a Puzzle, II,” and Daniel Smith won third place for “Call Someone Who Cares.”
