MAC Announces Winners Of Members’ Show

The Mobile Arts Council (MAC) recently announced the winners of its 2025 Members’ Show during its Members Appreciation Night, when more than 1,000 visitors experienced an evening of art, music and community. This year’s exhibition was juried by artist and educator Kevin King of King’s Canvas in Montgomery. He selected the following award recipients: Christopher R. Murray for The Decadence of Empire (best in show), Jenyes for Golden Hour (second place), Laura Ledbetter for Shipwreck (third place), Heather A. Mitchell for Plot Twist (members’ choice), Janet Hinton for Deer River at Theodore Port (Dempsey & Litchfield Award), and Micah Mermilliod for Val and Evan and Laurie Schaerer for Cedar Waxwing (honorable mentions). The Members’ Show will remain on view through the end of the month at the Mobile Arts Council Gallery at Room 1927 adjacent to Saenger Theatre Mobile.
