MMofA Family Day Is Tomorrow

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) is holding Scrap to Sculpture: Nevelson Family Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The hands-on event will include activities for all ages inspired by the exhibition Louise Nevelson: Dawn to Dusk. Activities include the Community Sculpture Trail Project. This outdoor collaborative sculpture activity will see guests follow a scavenger hunt along MMofA’s sculpture trail collecting found natural materials to bring back and attach to a central, evolving artwork. “Ballet Performance & Breakaway Dance” will be a performance by the Classical Ballet of Mobile featuring an interactive breakaway dance session for children ages 2 and up. All activities are free except for the family assemblage laboratory, for which registration is required.
