MMofA To Host Children’s Art Discussion

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) is hosting an interactive discussion and activity exploring developmentally appropriate practices to enhance artistic development and the power of arts education from birth to adulthood. The March 28 event is at 6-7:30 p.m. and hosted by Dr. Paige Vitulli, chair of the department of integrative studies and associate professor in leadership and teacher education at the University of South Alabama. Participants will consider the art of teaching young children beyond coloring sheets, regard how they respond to children’s artwork, discuss how and why children’s artwork is displayed and talk about what the arts teach. For more information, contact Kaitlyn Amanor at email.
