MMofA To Host Special Nevelson Event

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) has announced Art After Dark: Dawn to Dusk is coming to the museum on March 19 at 6-9 p.m. The after-hours museum experience is inspired by the life and work of Louise Nevelson and will celebrate assemblage, atmosphere and the creative energy of New York City. It will offer a relaxed, social environment where guests can explore the museum, enjoy live jazz and engage with art in both reflective and hands-on ways. Guests will have full access to the museum and the exhibition “Louise Nevelson: Dawn to Dusk,” which highlights Nevelson’s innovative use of found materials and dramatic exploration of light, shadow and form. The evening also embraces a classic New York City social atmosphere, with beer, pizza and a specialty Manhattan cocktail available.
