Mobile Ballet Kicks Off Season With Special Premiere

Mobile Ballet is opening its 2025-2026 season on November 1 at 7:30 p.m. with the new ballet adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera at Saenger Theatre Mobile. “Creating The Phantom of the Opera as a ballet has been a dream project for me,” says Mobile Ballet Artistic Director Katia Garza. “Since Mobile Ballet will be performing at the Saenger Theatre until our new home is built, I wanted to design productions that highlight the beauty and character of this historic venue.” Meant to be accessible and meaningful for all audiences and all ages, the show will feature Garza’s original choreography. Patrons are invited to an exclusive preshow event at 5:30 p.m. at the Mobile Arts Council’s Room 1927 Gallery, adjacent to the Saenger. The VIP experience includes an artist meet-and-greet, cocktails, gourmet bites and exclusive access before the performance. Tickets for the play start at $25, and tickets for the preshow event are $50.
