Mobile Ballet Releases Schedule

MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile Ballet Co. is holding an open audition on May 16 at 4:30-6 p.m. at its Mobile studio. Dancers must be 12 years old by December 1, and girls must have a minimum of two years of pointe training, while boys must have a minimum of two years of ballet training. Additionally, its “Princess Ballerina Camp” is being held for children aged 3-5 who are potty-trained. The camp, with ballet, creative movement, stories and more, will be held on May 31-June 3 at the Mobile studio and June 6-9 at the Eastern Shore studio. The same dates and locations are also those for a “Let’s Dance Camp” for ages 6-10 involving ballet and jazz, strengthening and technique improvement. “Summer Intensive” for ages 12 and up with at least two years of pointe training is being held on June 6-24 at the Mobile studio. It includes ballet, pointe, variations, jazz and contemporary. Finally, “Junior Intensive” is being held on June 13-24 at the Mobile studio for ages 10 and up. This challenging program for enhancing skills and technique requires two years of ballet training.
