Mobile Symphony to Open Season On October 17-18

The Mobile Symphony Orchestra is set to open its new socially distanced season – “Great Music, Safely Enjoyed” – on October 17-18 with Festival of Strings at the Saenger Theatre in downtown Mobile. Following current guidelines, the orchestra can allow only 400 people in the 1,900-seat Saenger. Seats and rows will be blocked to accommodate social distancing, and masks are required for both the audience and musicians. Concerts are limited to approximately one hour without an intermission, and the Saenger will be sanitized between performances. Each concert weekend will include four performances, professionally videoed and available online to members. Sponsors include Volkert and the Norquist Foundation.
