MSO To Perform An American In Paris

The Mobile Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will perform George Gershwin’s An American in Paris on April 11 at 7:30 p.m. and April 12 at 2:30 p.m. at Saenger Theatre Mobile. Additionally, pianist Zlata Chochieva will join the orchestra for Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Pianist Zlata Chochieva is celebrated worldwide by critics and audiences alike as one of the most extraordinary artists of her generation. Following her Carnegie Hall debut last season, Chochieva has toured extensively across the world. MSO’s next concert is Gustav Holst’s The Planets and scores by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer featuring music from Interstellar, Inception, Dune and Top Gun: Maverick. Tickets are $20-$99 and can be purchased online, by phone at 251-432-2010 or at the MSO Box Office at 257 Dauphin Street. Concertgoers may enjoy an informative pre-concert talk, TakeNote, beginning at 6:30 p.m. before the Saturday performance and 1:30 p.m. before the Sunday performance in Room 1927 adjacent to the Saenger entrance on Joachim Street.
