MSO To Perform Movie Music

The Mobile Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will perform “The Best of the Best” featuring music from movies on April 5 at 7:30 p.m. and April 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Saenger Theatre Mobile. Music from movies including Out of Africa, Doctor Zhivago, Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, Jurassic Park, Vertigo, Psycho, Star Trek and Close Encounters of the Third Kind will be played. General admission starts at $20, and student tickets are $10. MSO will offer two more concerts in the 2024-2025 season: on April 26 and 27 with the University of South Alabama Concert Choir, Mobile Opera Chorus and four international soloists for a performance of George Frideric Handel’s Messiah and on May 17 and 18 with acclaimed pianist Charlie Albright in a concert featuring Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique. Concertgoers may enjoy an informative pre-concert talk beginning an hour before each performance in Room 1927 adjacent to the Saenger entrance on Joachim Street.
