MSO To Play “Music Around The World”

The Mobile Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is holding “Music Around the World,” including “masterworks from Russia, France, Austria and the U.S.,” on March 27-28 at the Saenger Theatre in Mobile. The program features harpist Katie Ott in Claude Debussy’s Danses sacrée et profane, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee, Gustav Mahler’s “Adagietto” from Symphony No. 5 and Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring. Part of MSO’s social-distancing protocol is four performances, each 1 h long and without intermission (6 and 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 and 3:30 p.m. on Sundays). Additionally, masks are required, and attendance is limited to 400.
