The Princess Bride Event Coming To Saenger

AL.com reported that Saenger Theatre Mobile will host “The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes” on August 16. The program will feature a screening of the 1987 fantasy movie, in which Elwes stars as Westley, a farmer turned pirate seeking to win back a princess (Robin Wright) from the wicked Prince Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon). That will be followed by “a moderated discussion revealing never-before-shared secrets and tales of inconceivable antics.” A limited number of VIP packages are available and include upgraded seats, a meet and greet with Elwes and a signed copy of Elwes’s bestselling book, As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride. Elwes’ other film and TV roles include appearances in Stranger Things, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Rebel Moon. Tickets begin at $35.50.
