Upcoming Play Focusing On Clotilda Story

Imani Community Theatre, a project of cultural and educational nonprofit Legacy 166, is launching in Mobile with An Ocean in My Bones, a play focusing on the survivors of the slave ship Clotilda’s final voyage, AL.com reports. Imani Artistic Director Terrence Spivey was hired by the Clotilda Descendants Association to write the play based on the story of the 110 African captives. It will be performed at Wesley Chapel United Methodist at 1161 Michigan Avenue in Mobile on November 20 at 12-3 p.m. and on November 21 at 12-2 p.m.
