USA Health Presenting Healing Arts

USA Health has opened its “Healing Arts” exhibit through October 24 on the third floor of the University of South Alabama’s (USA) Charles M. Baugh Biomedical Library at 5791 USA Drive North in Mobile. It features works by adult oncology patients from the Mitchell Cancer Institute and pediatric patients from Children’s & Women’s Hospital. Visitors may view a variety of patient-created artwork, from paintings and mixed-media pieces to creative expressions that reflect resilience, hope and healing. The exhibit is free and open Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. and Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. A free opening reception will be held on October 9 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the library. Donations to support the art therapy program are welcome during the reception. Guests are asked to register for the free event by October 5.
