Wright To Speak At Her MMofA Exhibit

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) is hosting a gallery talk with Rachel Wright on October 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the museum to celebrate her exhibition “Cryptic Under Wing: Glass and Mixed Media.” In the exhibition, Wright utilizes glass, photographs and textiles to create sculptural work about the natural world. Through her exploration of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta and the surrounding area, she explores the relationship between the local rivers, lakes and creeks and the organisms that reside in and near them. It includes the “Delta Moth Series,” a body of work about moths that reside in the delta and their connection to this unique ecosystem and its rich biodiversity. The exhibition runs through December 7.
