Zydeco And Crawfish Festival Announced For Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES, Ala. — The City of Gulf Shores is hosting the sixth annual Waterway Village Zydeco and Crawfish Festival on April 16 beginning at 10 a.m. along East 24th Avenue. The free event will include crawfish, music, art vendors and children’s activities. The festival will begin at 8 a.m. and benefit local all-volunteer, foster-based nonprofit Furrever Homes. Food and vendors from Acme Oyster House, Tacky Jacks, Beach Big Brewing Co., the Gulf Coast Arts Alliance, Lulu’s, The Diner and Wheeles Karate Academy will be present. Zydeco bands, which will play continuously between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., include Donna Angelle and the Zydeco Possé; Excelsior; Rosie Ledet and the Zydeco Playboys; The Legendary IIs Sont Partis Band featuring Buckwheat Zydeco, Jr.; Rockin Dopsie, Jr.; and Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band.
