Bullard Nominated For Time Dealer Of The Year

Joel “Ty” Bullard, III, dealer principal of Joe Bullard Chevrolet in Mobile, has been nominated for 2027 TIME Dealer of the Year. Bullard is one of 48 dealer nominees from across the country who will be honored at the National Automobile Dealers Association Show in Orlando, Florida, on February 19, 2027. Considered one of the automobile industry’s most prestigious honors, the award recognizes the nation’s most successful auto dealers who also demonstrate a longstanding commitment to community service. Bullard was chosen to represent the Automobile Dealers Association of Alabama in the national competition. Bullard earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, in 2006. He joined Joe Bullard Automotive full-time after graduation, beginning his career as a service advisor at Acura of Mobile. Although Bullard grew up around the family business, he chose to gain experience throughout the dealership before pursuing a leadership role. After two years as a service advisor, he became service manager and assumed direct responsibility for customers, employees and daily operations. Bullard later worked in vehicle sales and used-car management, gaining experience in inventory acquisition, pricing, customer relationships and dealership finances. He became general manager of Joe Bullard Cadillac in 2012 and was named dealer principal of Joe Bullard Automotive in 2013.
