Bryant Bank was named Best Small Bank in Alabama, and PNC Bank was named Best Big Bank in Alabama by Newsweek. Based in Tuscaloosa, Bryant was founded in 2005 and now has 16 branches, plus one loan production office, all in Alabama. Headquartered in Tuscaloosa, its markets include Mobile and Baldwin counties, in addition to Huntsville and Birmingham. It employs more than 260 bankers. PNC Bank is based in Pittsburgh and has almost 2,500 branches nationwide, including 56 in Alabama. The list is Newsweek’s first bank ranking endeavor. In it, it partnered with Lending Tree to assess banks on 55 factors.
