JPMorgan Chase CEO Writes On Alabama: Foley Location To Come

Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, devoted two pages in his nearly 50-page annual shareholder letter to Alabama, stating, “It’s clear that Alabama’s future is bright, and we are excited for what’s next,” AL.com reported. This drew attention to several initiatives, such as the American Dream Initiative, which the company believes will speed financing and facilitate capital to small businesses, as well as offer advice, training and tools. “By doing more in Alabama, we’re not just investing in the state’s economic future—we’re helping to secure America’s long-term economic resilience and security, with Alabama’s people and industries leading the way,” Dimon wrote. He also mentioned a $2-million philanthropic investment by JPMorgan Chase to launch the Alabama Capital Access Collaborative, which supports the work of local community development finance institutions in lending and investing. The company also pledged to triple the number of its bank branches in Alabama by 2030, opening 24 across the state. It most recently announced that it will open new branches in Foley, Decatur and Trussville this year.
