New Horizons Announces Scholarship Winners

MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile-based New Horizons Credit Union has announced the five winners of its Annual Scholarship Program, which awarded each of the high school seniors with a $1,000 scholarship based on academic achievement, community involvement and essay responses (BBN #86). The winners are: Kaycee Carlander of Mary G. Montgomery High School, Haylee Jackson of Jackson High School, Kacey Porter of Daphne High School, Landon Rice of Satsuma High School and Payton Stacey of Saraland High School. For more than 20 years, the program has awarded more than $75,000 in scholarships. Qualifying students must be graduating high school seniors and have a New Horizons “New Wave” savings account.
