New Horizons Credited For Savings Campaign

 America Saves, a nonprofit initiative of the national Consumer Federation of America, has named Mobile-based New Horizons Credit Union among recipients of its 2024 Designation of Savings Excellence Award for the seventh consecutive year. This annual award recognizes organizations that participated in this year’s America Saves Week by promoting saving strategies. New Horizons said that it and other participating financial institutions helped encourage nearly $354 million worth of deposits into new and existing accounts. Additionally, 231,000 new accounts were opened, and 64,000 individuals increased their automatic saving transfers or deposits into existing savings accounts.
