New Horizons Earns Savings Award

MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile-based New Horizons Credit Union has earned a Military Saves Designation of Savings Excellence award for efforts in financial education stressing the importance of saving during April, which is “Military Saves Month.” This honor is reserved for financial institutions that succeed in getting people to open or add to wealth-building accounts and pledge to save. New Horizons’ social media campaign and “Horizons Heroes Account” helped teach and provide perks to active military and all first responders. Additionally, in partnership with GreenPath Financial Wellness, New Horizons offers free budgeting resources, webinars and debt management tools designed to develop savings goals and build credit.
