New Horizons Earns Savings Designation

America Saves, a nonprofit initiative of the national Consumer Federation of America, has named Mobile-basedNew Horizons Credit Union among recipients of its 2023 Designation of Savings Excellence Award for the sixth consecutive year. This annual award recognizes organizations that participated in this year’s America Saves Week by promoting saving strategies. New Horizons said that during the campaign, it educated members about “Direct Deposit,” “New Start Checking,” “GreenPath Financial Wellness” and “Horizons Heroes” accounts. New Horizons and other participating financial institutions helped reach nearly nine million people during the weeklong event, in which individuals deposited more than $788 million into new or existing savings accounts.
