Transworld Facilitates Heavy Hitters Acquisition

Mobile-based Transworld Business Advisors of the Gulf Coast has announced that a strategic buyer recently purchased Heavy Hitters from the company’s founder, Russell Lassiter, and his investment team. The sale is the result of a confidential sales process spearheaded by Transworld M&A advisory firm members Bill Whiston, Rebecca Semple and Bill Kleinschrodt. Heavy Hitters, founded in 2018, is described as “a high-growth welding equipment manufacturing company headquartered in Mobile County” that offers high-end welding products and accessories. “Heavy Hitters had developed an innovative product, secured reliable overseas suppliers and a great team to assemble the products,” Whiston said. “They worked with highly skilled welders that demonstrated their TIG rigs performed quickly and effectively, often under tight and difficult circumstances…. While the buyer wishes to remain confidential, we are excited and optimistic that they possess the resources and culture to take this business forward, scaling it nationally and internationally.”
