BCEDA Promotes, Adds Leadership

The Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance (BCEDA) has announced key leadership promotions and an addition. McCall Lugo was promoted to director of economic development, Christina Hellmich was promoted to director of workforce development, and Ryan Brown was hired as project manager. Lugo, who joined the organization in August 2022, will lead and advance economic development efforts across Baldwin County and oversee industry relationships and project activity. She plays a critical role in shaping BCEDA’s strategy, messaging and community engagement. Hellmich, who has served as industry engagement director, will focus on strengthening Baldwin County’s workforce through strategic partnerships with industry, education, and state and local entities. Brown joins from ServisFirst Bank, where he served as a credit analyst. He also served as an economic development intern at BCEDA in 2023 and with Spire in 2024 through the Economic Development Association of Alabama Internship Program. He earned a BS in business administration and finance from Auburn University in May 2025.
